Unlike dermal fillers designed to add volume or structure, skin boosters are low-viscosity HA solutions that diffuse into the dermis, attracting water molecules and improving hydration, elasticity, and overall skin quality.
The result is not a structural change — you won't look "filled" or "lifted." You'll look more hydrated, with improved surface texture, reduced fine lines caused by dehydration, and a general improvement in skin luminosity. Patients often describe it as their skin looking "like itself but better" — which is both the appeal and the limitation: if you want volume or lift, skin boosters are not the right treatment.

Price-wise, the annual cost is broadly similar once you factor in session frequency. If budget is the deciding factor, Restylane Vital is a proven entry point with a lower per-session cost.

Restylane Vital Light is the most commonly used under-eye booster, and it improves the skin quality of the under-eye area — reducing the crepy, dehydrated texture that makes hollows look darker. It does not address the hollow itself (that requires filler), structural darkness from pigmentation (that requires pigmentation treatments), or visible blood vessels (those require laser). For a true "tear trough" treatment, a denser filler like Teosyal Redensity II or Juvederm Volbella is more appropriate than a booster.
